Finally, new bilge pumps arrived.
Ordered two, to install one to the engine compartment too.
I must say, that these new pumps are absolutely insane in amount of water pushed out. About 5 liters of water pumped out from a bucket in about a second.

I wanted a tattoo since I was 15. But I was a smart boy, so I decided that the image I want as a tattoo should be desired at least in a year timespan. If I don't remember what I wanted or changed my mind — new year waiting starts.
Today I made a decision.
I'll do Ursa's nose.
And I already have a tattoo master that is capable to do this job right.

About a week ago, when I got dinghy delivered along with the outboard and fuel canister, I found that canister still holds a little fuel, however unusable, since it's over 3 years old.
But fuel is fuel, and its relationship with oil and grease shouldn't change a lot over the years.
So I decided to clean and grease my winches properly this time. Past time I was able to clean them only mechanically.
This time I submerged all parts into the fuel and cleaned with the toothbrush.
Got 149% better revolution ease and inertia on two winches that already got the proper service.

At the photo: amount of dirt and old grease cleaned up from these two winches.

Why This Couple Died on a Private Yacht!youtu.be

Kinda scary video. But what I seen first — why the hell they didn’t reef ahead before the night? It’s a literally “night-shift rule number one: all sails at the second reef”. The reason is simple: at the night human being is slow, five times less inteligent and almost blind. Therefore, the sailor shall leave as little opportunity for error as possible. Reefing ahead even if the forecast is blessing — the first thing to do. So you will not have to try thinking fast if squall came to you — you just hold the helm and keep calm.
Whoever plans going to the sea — AT LEAST second reef on all sails must be set at the sunset. Rule of the thumb — two reefs down the current state.

Instead of buying a new bilge pump in a marine shop for €300 I've bought it directly from China for €40.
Seems absolutely identical. Sure thing, that I'll disassemble it completely prior to installation and make sure it's waterproof as hell.
