Mercadona is the best.
Not very much stuff available to buy online, but well enough, and the fact that everything at this online shop is in English makes it unbeatable.
Especially for the guys like me — without a car and any other options to get that stuff to the boat by foot.
This cart should be enough for me for about 5-6 weeks. So it's quite cheap also.

One of the unmarked switches along with another unmarked switch panel makes this boat a fancy brothel, lol.

Doing service of my winches. Guys, touched them the last time are going to get their very special boiler in the hell — never seen so bad work with greasing. Moreover, two winches were assembled with parts leftovers, and that's why I can't open one of them and another refuses to release one of the parts.🤦‍♂
But anyway I've managed to service one of them. Two to go.

Harmony was really perfect inside but completely destroyed outside. We took the boat out of the water and I got very upset. Counted 57 gelcoat patches at the boat sides, and strong signs that it was hardly hit to the nose and massive repair job signs at the stern.
So I flew to Valencia to see another boat — Bavaria 39 2005 in a default configuration, but in a close to perfect condition.

Since repainting a boat costs at least €10k besides the massive amount of work required to clean up and polish the hull, I decided to cancel the deal with Harmony for 50k and took this Bavaria for 62k.
It's a little longer, little wider, way more common boat than Harmony, so a lot of spare parts are at the aftermarket.

Overall it seems a better deal.

Current state: deposit issued, waiting for the contract. Meanwhile I'm returning back to Israel to pack my shit.
By the end of November I should be back to my boat.

Ropes are one of the most regular expenses and they are always in deficit.
So yesterday I found old mooring lines trashed out by marina and decided that this hundred euros is worth saving.
Recipe is simple:
- dry lines
- hammer lines to remove the most of barnacles
- bath lines in citric acid to dissolve hidden calcium
- wash in detergent (optional, just for aesthetics)

About two hours of work.
Lines I've collected would be about €150 new. These had never been stressed, do I consider them as new, just dirty and it's fixable.

Harmony 38. Built 2008, single owner which is living on the boat right now.
The boat is equipped to be autonomous as much as possible. Solar panels, watermaker, Webasto diesel air-heating, even washing machine!
New (2022) standing rigging and overall a great boat.
