Sailing things right

Today is a "winter-trial" day. No sun, permanent rain, 18° inside (which is about a functional minimum for me).
The solar panel gives no power, which raises again the question about other ways to supply myself with electricity.
Wind generation isn't an option. It requires space and money that I don't have, plus for the decent power generation with the wind it has to blow about 25 knots which is quite rare and way above the comfortable level.
So, I need to buy a generator and burn fuel when the sun isn't available.
Yes, I can run the main engine, but it's even more inefficient than the wind (though always available).
So, if anyone has a small generator for sale in Europe — I'm open to offers.
Preferably, DC 12v, but inverted could be ok too.

The last (I'm really hoping it was the last) breath of the storm was the most violent. Here, behind the rocks, we got over 40. Outside it was, probably, about 60.
My friend's boat was dragging, so he left me to catch it.
Unofficial competition between QCR and Bruce anchors was flawlessly won by QCR! :)

Checked out the price of the pontoon I met in the sea. And it was twice as big as the left one.
I HAD TO TOW IT WITH ME. :(

Chinese sticky traps didn't work — the mouse took away the bait and stored it in the anchor box.
Looks like I have to spread the poison and find the mouse later by smell. :(
In three days all the west coast of Italy will get hit by stormy weather, so I'm skipping the passage to Rome and going straight to Sardegna (via the longest possible open waters).
See you in three days.

Ask me what this place is — I won't answer. Just because I don't remember. :)
But it's a beautiful place in Italy.
Met there a couple guys who were just chilling with the homemade wine. So we got the wine too and chilled with them for a while. :)

First act is over. Getting ready for the second one — this thing is going back.
The first act ended up with:
- unmanned catamaran got dragged to the "marina" where there are a lot of small motorboats moored. Amount of damage inflicted yet uncertain. First two photos showing coast-guard and local guys getting this cat out of the mess it created.
- another small unmanned boat got a long drag but ended up just at another side of our small bay. Tho its headsail unfurled and ripped apart.
- another boat with a Ukrainian crew dragged a lot, but they managed to keep her under control and just redeployed the anchor.
I'm sitting still, keeping an eye on this huge cloud with fingers crossed.

Another boring video of the boatworks.
Preparing to change thru-hulls. Finding out that that was a very right time to do it.
Caution, speaking only one phrase out of the 9 minutes shot.

A friend helped me to climb on the mast today to check the anchor light.
Found out that there were just contacts failing, not the bulb.
Another note to the list for future general replacements. I will need to replace all the wiring through the mast since current wires are old, partially failing and damaged in certain places.

So little deviation from "normal" pressure, but so much trouble.
My morning started at 5am with the first 25+ gusts.
At about 11 got 35 knots for a few minutes and then gradually easing up to 6pm.
The seabed here is grassy so I got some drag, but not much to get concerned about.
Out there in the bay the wind was way more nasty. I was glad that I'm not there.
So, I'm good, planning further moves.

Turning to Capri. Autopilot decided to die again.
Will have to survive that on Monday-Tuesday. Going to use "double-anchor" strategy.

Without any warnings a huge thunderstorm came in.
Sitting in the boat fully packed to get on the helm just in case of anchor drag.
It already did a little, but in the right direction.
The neighboring boat suffers a lot worse drag. They're trying to redeploy their anchor now.

Supply mission successful.
With the great help of my friends I got about a hundred kilos of food in the boat along with 160 liters of diesel.
