Sailing things right

Because Starlink went “because fuck you” with its service plans and terms, I got a somewhat decent replacement — a 5G router designed to bring me internet in a very distant bumblefuck.

The really special feature of this model is an eSIM chip, which eliminates the need to climb up the mast to change a SIM card.

Since a friend gifted me a drone, I'm collecting ideas while training to fly it. ;)

Lifehack of the day: of you're too lazy to make a painting place with trash-bags, there's always a dingy upside-down! :)

Looks like here was a certain kind of Cinderella and she missed the midnight bell.

With the latest service plans and pricing updates Starlink brings no value for me anymore.
Maybe in the USA there's a dialup-only bumblefuck everywhere outside cities but here is a 5g everywhere and €15 unlimited data cellular plans. So I've unpacked my mobile router.

Anyway, Starlink is amazing for those who need it. Just hoping for other sat-constellations to rise soon and more affordable plans to land in the user space.

It could have been a pure champagne voyage if the new civilization in my diesel tank hadn’t revealed itself.
Had to insert an additional fuel filter into the fuel line to be the first to prevent clogging the separator again with bacteria slime and was achieving record times in cleaning that small one. :)

Unfortunately, I didn't record the whole communication — it was a lmao "what are you sinking about" moment but nevertheless.

Reached Crotone. The storm comes in about three hours and will last for about two days.
As expected none of four marinas responded to VHF at 3am, so I dropped the hook right in front of the city beach.
There will be fun. :)
